  1. Hi,

Is it possible to understand what is the methodology of the Off and Def ratings? Or is that part of the book? Thanks.

  3. Hi, I’ve kind of come to this a bit late but I must say the book is great and it has really opened my eyes to looking at sports in a different way. Is there any way of re-working the off and def score generating formulas to minimise the number of variables as with 199 teams in College Football this year, whilst you can do straight power ratings (just), you exceed Solver’s variable limit to Offense and Defense ratings (approx 400 variables)? Thanks.

  4. I think you would need to buy a bigger solver from solver.com

  5. Thanks. I thought so, and I looked at it and just couldn’t see a way round it as everything was relevant to each other. I think I’ll stick to other sports for the time being. Thanks again - really great book.
