Updated NBA Ratings November 27

After a banner week in which the Mavs defeated OKC, SAN, and MIA they have risen to the top of our power ratings. The Mavs have the league’s best defense while the Wolves have the worst. The  Suns have the best offense and the Kings the worst. Again these ratings are based on game scores, not directly on win-loss records.

Although they keep losing, based on scores of games, the Heat are still the league’s best team. The top 9 teams are tightly bunched. Also Memphis, New Jersey and Houston are much better than their records indicate.

The Packers are number 1 with a bullet. They are playing great and only Eagles and Falcons appear to have a chance to thwart a Packer bid to make the Super Bowl. The AFC is wide open. .

The Kings have plummeted to the bottom of the league. The Hornets keep rolling along due their great defense. The Wolves and Knicks are the worse defensive teams.

Week 11 NFL Ratings

Here are updated NFL rankings. Packers now look like legit Super Bowl contender.  After all they shut out the Jets at home. Three of our 4 top teams (TENN, PITT and BALT) lost last week, but that is life in the NFL.  Parity is its middle name (except for Carolina!) Our top 5 teams all bring it on defense. This year’s playoffs should be really unpredictable. Picks to follow soon. Our betting picks last week went 6-10 and now stand at 14-13.
